Our Aim
Making a hardware technology company sustainable involves adopting eco-friendly practices throughout our business operations, from sourcing, sales and end-of-life product management. In the UK, around 12 million computers and laptops have ended up in landfill over the past 5 years, which works out at more than two million every year! We want to recycle and reuse where possible whilst also empowering end-users by providing technology solutions that drive growth, efficiency, and innovation. Our goal is to be a trusted partner in helping others stay ahead in an ever-evolving digital landscape, by recycling and reusing products.
The Importance
The tech industry generates millions of tons of electronic waste each year, much of which contains harmful materials such as lead and mercury. By adopting sustainable practices, we aim to reduce the aim of waste that ends up in landfills and ensure proper recycling and disposal of hazardous materials. A sustainable approach helps us to reduce your costs, build our brand loyalty and mean we can continue providing excellent hardware that reduces the impact to the planet!
Practices
We use recycled or responsibly sourced materials in your hardware components and accessories. For example, our custom built PCs use old parts of PC components as a way of fulfilling sustainability. We implement take-back and recycling programmes for customers to return old hardware for responsible disposal or refurbishment. We offer refurbished or reconditioned hardware, reducing electronic waste and giving older products a new life. We also try to reduce our waste with our sustainable packaging- but rest assured, your packages will always be shipped safely!
